Ashford House Accommodation

Beautiful, stunning location. 10 minutes walk into Robin Hoods Bay and a 20 minute bus ride into Whitby. The apartment was lovely and clean and on entering it, it smelt lovely and clean. Everything you could wish for a relaxing weekend away. With the added bonus of off street parking. The local pub isn't much to look at from the outside or the inside but the food is lovely and the staff are really friendly and polite. The only one negative comment I can make is there was a lot of noise from the family home above the apartment. We did go in the week so upstairs were getting the kids ready for school and getting themselves ready for work, so probably over a weekend it would be quiter. I would definitely recommend a stay here even with that negative remark and we will definitely be visiting again.

Just got home from a lovely weekend stay at the snug. Spotless and comfortable accommodation, with everything you need. Only a 10 minute walk to Robinhoods Bay. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay extra special by adding personal touches as requested for our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back. Couldn't recommend this accommodation enough.

Lots of steps for access then some steps in accomodation. I expected it to be level

Short walk to Robins hoods bay around 10mins..The snug has everything you need for a short relaxing break. Including a nice hot tub.

My wife and I were totally impressed with this wonderful holiday accommodation. There are two double bedrooms with an open-plan living area. There is a couch and chair, which are both very comfortable. Plus a dining table and four chairs. There is a wardrobe in the living / dining room and a chest of drawers in one of the bedrooms. Each room has a TV, which is linked to a Sky TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave oven and dishwasher. The bathroom is wonderful. His and her's sinks with a fabulous bath and shower. There is both a large heated towel rack radiator, but the plus is the underfloor heating that runs through the kitchen to the bathroom. The bath is a corner spa bath and unlike others I have used doesn't sound like you are bathing on top of a jet engine. This makes using it very relaxing. Outside is a garden with seating and a table, although the weather was not up to using them, I think it would be great to be able sit outside and relax during good weather. There was also a little outdoor fireplace that would perhaps be fun to use. The property overlooks the garden and a small valley. Access is via steps down from the road level, and while there is a handrail it would not be ideal for anyone with a disability that would prevent using steps. There is parking which is off road. Always a good idea. The property also has WiFi and there is a good 4g mobile signal. The are is very pretty, and the property is a short walk from Robin Hood's Bay. There are a number of paths to the coast, so there is no need to follow the road.
