Middlewood Farm Holiday Park

I cannot recommend Middle wood enough. We stayed in a large static dog friendly Caravan with decking. The caravan was beautiful. Lovely and clean, very well equipped. We stayed for a week with a toddler and dog and it was perfect. Lovely views and very cosy at night. The staff where very helpful and nice. In particular the young lady on reception was so helpful telling me all of the walking routes. We are regulars to Robin Hoods Bay but it was our first time staying at this caravan park but we will be back. The ideal place to stay with Family and dogs. Also the area around the caravans was very well kept and ideal for seeing the wildlife at night. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

This is a lovely caravan site. The people were very helpful. Site and caravans are exceptionally clean. You cannot park directly next to the caravan, but the are parking spaces not far from caravans Google maps gets you straight to it. The one caravan or family used had a thermostat controller for their caravan, the other caravan we had to manually turn the radiators off when it fit to hot, and the single beds might be OK for kids, but can be a little uncomfortable for adults. But in the whole, I would definitely stay again, and would recommend. They also have Free SAT on TV so there are reasonable channels, especially for the kids.

Booked the dog friendly caravan for my daughter, my self and 2 small dogs. We arrived to a freezing cold van (I had to call reception as the heating was set to come on at 19.00.... late october) i was informed the heating should come on at 3 but that wasn't the case In our van. There was signs up saying to not change the radiators from setting 2 and not to ammend the heating. *** it was freezing. U need to provide your own bed linen which is to be placed over the already dressed beds, I did find that bizzare but hay hoe Then there was the list of "Not to do's " So after booking the dog friendly caravan my dogs weren't allowed to go in any rooms or on any furnishings so literally kept on the van lino which to me isn't a dog friendly environment at all. Obviously I wouldn't allow wet or mud covered dogs on furniture in any case but as dogs will be dogs they will jump onto low sofas and creep onto the carpeted area. Dogs can also never be left unattended in the van. I couldn't leave them for 2 hours for us to pop to whitby. I did bring this up with receprion and was told it was in the terms and conditions and after searching the page I did find that so I did apologise for that. In the end I had to call my parents to drive down from Newcastle to collect my dogs to allow me and my daughter to visit whitby which was the reason we where there. I totally understand that the site likes to keep the vans clean and tbh the van was lovely and clean however it wasn't what I would call a dog friendly van. We live and we learn i suppose. Brilliant site for walking or visiting RHB but not brilliant for dogs.

Excellent site, good facilities, close to local pub. Private path down to Robin Hoods bay. Very friendly and efficient staff. Prices are very reasonable. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely quiet family run holiday park. Caravans are immaculate and in a beautiful country location. Everything you can think of is provided in the caravan to make your stay feel like home from home. Very close to robins hoods bay.
