Yes, it's a spoons, but there's a car park at the back and the staff were great
Excellence pub. Large selection of drinks and food. It is a spacious and suitable for all size parties. Different types of seating. Great customer service.
My sister & I came here recently for a quick lunch. We parked for free nearby and walked down to The Briggate. It doesn't look that big from the outside but I was surprised how large it was inside. We found a table then I went to the bar to place our order. I don't like using the App as I like to check out what ales they have on offer and I prefer to deal with human beings behind the bar. I ordered a fish & chips lunch with mushy peas and my sister went for a small ham & fried egg dish with chips. I had a pint of Ruddles Best which came with the price of the meal. Amazingly for the two of us the bill came in less that 18 quid. How's that for a bargain. All good!
Just ordered an American Cheese Burger with an additional burger which arrived promptly swimming in grease and fats which subseqently soaked into the base of the burger bun turning it into a grease filled sponge and required the serviette and a whole pack of tissues to soak up the remainder of the grease the breadcake couldnt handle. The top of the burger bun also played its part in soaking up the grease which ruined the cheese and other toppings. So all in all an expensive portion of chips with the remainder collected and taken away. So glad i wasnt asked how the food was whilst i had it on the table as i didnt want to cause offence with my honest opinion. Lesson learned...i will not be ordering any more burgers. However its a nice pub, nice staff and i thoroughly recommend it for a nights drinking ( just beware the burgers).
Went to do a job there and thr staff, and people in there was great. Really nice atmosphere. Shame I'm not a local or I'd go in for food and drinks. Seems a friendly enough place.
