The Station House Garforth

It was an impromptu decision to go out for lunch and having recently been recommended to try The Station House, that’s where we decided to go. We didn’t book but were warmly welcomed by Lily, one of the waitresses who showed us to a table for 2 in a cozy corner. Despite being only some 5 or 6 metres from the railway track where some high speed trains went whistling by, it was remarkably quiet due to the double glazed windows. The menu was varied and there were specials of the day. Lily returned about 10 minutes later to take our order. A further 15 minutes later our pizzas and an antipasto platter were delivered to our table. The pizzas were cooked traditional style to perfection and prepared from scratch in house. The antipasto had a good selection of cured meats, salamis and salad. A special shout out to Lily whose friendly demeanour is an asset to this small family run restaurant. Would definitely recommend and expect to return in the near future.

Took my Mum and a few family members to celebrate her 80th birthday. The staff were all brilliant and attentive and the food was incredible. All guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the wonderful food. I had the king prawn starter followed by a volcano pizza. I’ve eaten pizza in many Italian towns and this was up there with them all. The Irish coffee I had to end the night was the best I’ve ever had. Thanks for such a fantastic evening. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely loved the cosy vibe of this place and the experience of watching trains go right past the window. The food was lovely too and the staff very attentive, highly recommend a visit. Thank you! :)

Yes we’re local but I’m not giving a biased review, the food is genuinely authentic and simply beautiful in my opinion. The station house decor does 2 things, takes you back in time and also makes you think you’re in a small Italian side street. Never disappoints
