Garforth Post Office

Renewed my passport and got it back in 8 days. They filled in the paperwork and took my photo in the branch. Had to book an appointment but fairly simple. Lady at front counter was friendly and helpful.

Having called in this morning, there was only one person serving. There didn't appear to be any sense of quickness in dealing with the line of customers waiting, nor did there appear to be any welcome greeting or few words to make the customer feel valued. At a time when the Post Office is having a hammering with the horizon scandal, you would think that they would be glad people are still supportive. After all, the customers are the bread and butter of this office.

Useless staff, had 3 notifications, 1 from retailer and 2 from Royal Mail all saying parcel was ready for collection! Made the 3 mile trek in awful weather to be told it wasn’t there and he didn’t even bother to look. Won’t be going there again

The Asian man who I think manages it is the rudest man I have ever encountered. He upsells constantly and doesn’t tell you about the cheaper options that there are. Vile place.

This has never been a nice post office but unfortunately it's the only one in Garforth. Having lived here for 20 years I honestly believe the postmaster and postmistress (if that's what you call them), have actually got better and I do believe they are taking peoples advice on-board. However..... the gentleman (if you can call him that) that they employ is an absolutely awful person, his attitude is disgusting to EVERY customer that comes into the post office. He speaks to everyone so rudely, and somehow seems to be getting away with it? He has no idea of the concept of customer service. He should not be in a customer facing role (ever!). Please, please, please if you are reading this Mr and Mrs Garforth post office, please do Garforth a favour and sack this employee, he is single-handedly ruining your hard earned business. The people of Garforth will love you again if you get rid of him, we promise !!!
