A Greek relative was targeted by a staff member as he entered the shop. Despite having done nothing wrong or even visited the shop before, a woman in her 50s aggressively charged at him several times. He moved away and continued browsing and was surprised to find her entering his personal space twice more with her elbow touching his side. I'm not sure why you would treat a customer this way but unfortunately this kind of hostility towards foreign visitors is not uncommon and we have experienced it several times before. We will draw the obvious conclusion.
Not the biggest place but has lots to offer. Sometimes shelves can be empty. Great range products good price. Plenty of parking.
I love a good shop in Home Bargains. Unfortunately, my purse doesn't as I seem to come out with much more than I had in mind when I first entered those doors. If you're on a tight budget, keep those blinkers on and go straight for what you went in for. Those offers are too tempting and soon mount uo at the till. Thos shop has good-sized aisles, it is always clean and tidy. You can always find a staff member down one of the aisles as they're always tidying or filling. As shops always do, they move things around a bit to accommodate different season purchases such as Easter/Christmas/summer chairs or heaters, etc. If you can't find what you're after, the staff have always been happy to take you to where it's moved to. If there's ever a queue building as everyone seems to go to the tills at the semd time, the staff put calls over their headsets and get more tills open so you never have to wait too long to be served. The things I love to pop in for are the toiletries/ vitamins/ bird seed and eggs. I find these things are so much cheaper than the supermarket options. I get a huge bag of bird seed for £6.50 and the birds really like it. The eggs are large eggs and 10 for £1.90. Unfortunately, they're not free-range, but when you're on a budget, these are a fantastic price to get some protein in the family diet. They stock everything from toiletries to cleaning products, clothing to suitcases, garden items to pet food. They have an outside section for garden plants and accessories. If you are off on holiday it's a fab place to grab your extras such as suncream and holiday towels. The car park is free and has some disabled bays at the front of the store. Please bear in mind the parking restrictions if you visit other shops. The main car park has 3 hours time limit to visit the pub, Gregg's, home bargains and the charity shop. Do not park in Lidl if you're visiting several shops as you only get 1.5 hours and people have ended up with parking fines. You can move between both car parks and extend your stay as there is also Gravity climbing wall on site.
Absolutely love shopping here. Great deals and prices and the staff are amazing.
General houshold goods and toys, food and drink, diy goods, garden centre, gifts, and frozen food. It's one big problem is it's queues for checkout, the shop always seems unprepared for people to actually want to pay for the stuff you have in your trolly, I often just abandon my shopping there as I hate long queues to pay for stuff.
