About Ribblehead Visitor Centre

Nestled in the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Ribblehead Visitor Centre serves as a key access point to one of the region's most iconic landmarks, the Ribblehead Viaduct. Visitors arriving here can immerse themselves in the stunning natural beauty and rich history that define this remarkable corner of Yorkshire.

While the centre offers convenient parking, it's particularly valued as a starting point for exploring the majestic surroundings. Many find the area around the Ribblehead Viaduct a truly beautiful place to visit, admire, and simply wonder at the scale and engineering marvel. The centre provides a base from which to embark on walks amidst the dramatic fells and enjoy unparalleled views of the historic railway structure.

Planning Your Visit

  • The car park, while convenient, can fill quickly, especially during peak times. It is often prioritised for railway station users and disabled visitors.
  • Visitors planning to explore on foot should be aware of the centre's operational hours, as services may conclude as walks are finishing.
  • Despite the car park's capacity challenges, the Ribblehead Visitor Centre remains a cherished spot for those looking to experience the dramatic landscapes of the Dales.

Had an opportunity to have tea and cake here after 2 of our walks, but it doesn't cater for walkers, it shuts at exactly the time we finished. I'm getting to feel the Dales doesn't cater for walkers anymore.

Small car park for the Railway Station and Visitor Centre. It fills up quickly so it's best leave it for the train users and disabled visitors. It's only a short walk from the main road, where most people park on the verges and walk up. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
