Red House Farm

We (husband, son (9) and me) loved this cottage. It is quirky (amazing artifacts and nooks and crannies to look at), beautiful, and we all felt at home. Sandra, host, is friendly and helpful (in the run up to and during our holiday) and looks after you. We loved the pool and access to the gym - it's well worth the bit extra. Excellent location for local walks and adventures, as well as trips to the coast - Whitby, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Sandsend (our favourite - just be prepared to hunt for parking if a sunny day!) are recommended visits. We stayed in the Threshing Barn for a few nights. What a fabulous cottage it was. Full of character, bursting with original features, but with all the modern appliances and facilties that you could want or need. Very big added bonus of the swimming pool and gym, which went down a storm with my 10 year old. It was also great for our Cockapoo, Rusty, who loved running about the place. Sandra was a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming, and an absolute star! The area is beautiful and not far to drive to some great beaches - Sandsend is recommended. A truly idyllic place.

Stayed in the threshing barn cottage. Family had a great time in the pool and steam room. Beautiful views and surroundings. Hosts Sandra and Tom were really friendly and welcoming. Everywhere and everything was super clean. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely night away. The house is amazing and Sandra and Tom were lovely hosts. We'll definitely be going back. The pool and gym were great too. Attention to detail was 10/10. The location was perfect for us. We had a meal at Wheatsheaf last night. Fantastic food. Would highly recommend staying here

Had a lovely stay for a week long holiday. The owners are lovely and very attentive and provide service to suit anyone's needs. The accommodation was very characteristic and comfortable and allowed us to completely relax and enjoy ourselves. The gym provided is fantastic and is full of modern machines. As part of the gym complex there is also a pool and sauna which are equally modern and very well maintained. The changing rooms are also very nice and this whole complex is amazing to be able to use at no extra cost. Had a fantastic time and would definitely reccommend to anyone.
