Description
Ruth Wilkinson's pieces are as varied as the inspirations around her. Drawing from natural surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales to the people, places and culture of India Ruth interprets this in the medium of mosaic.
Working in a very subtle palette of unglazed ceramics creates an image this is both sympathetic to nature and easy on the eye.
Ruth produces personal commissions and large public art pieces for the community to enjoy.
The work is produced from her Nidderdale based studio 'The Art House' and together with her partner, Paul Walker (sculpture), they run classes in mosaic, sculpture and life drawing.
