Avoid avoid avoid. If you read some of the recent negative reviews... My experience was very similar! Emergency appointment.. On waiting for my appointment, in the waiting room I noticed 2 patients in and out in a matter of 1-2 minutes.. surely a checkup etc takes longer!!! I know it does with my usual dentist at a practice in Selby! When I saw the dentist he was rude and seemed like he couldn't care less. Palmed me off with antibiotics and told me he would refer me to an orthodontist in Selby... This was mid sept... Still nothing. Has he even referred me??. Anyway, back to the dentist. He first told me the tooth needed removing..told me he could do this today.. then after an xray he then told me he couldn't do this.... So can he or can't he... I left confused after £40+ bill expecting to be referred ... Still waiting. Wouldn't go back even in an emergency.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience because I nearly didn’t go after reading some of the negative reviews. I was referred here by NHS 111 with one broken tooth and another causing pain. The dentist was kind, explained everything clearly, took an X-ray, and gave me two temporary fillings. Because it was an emergency slot, there wasn’t time for the full treatment, but he relieved my pain and advised me what I would need and to book a permanent fix with my regular dentist as soon as possible. For me, that’s exactly what you’d hope for from an emergency dental appointment. I had a really positive experience here and am very grateful for the care I received. It’s so hard to get seen by a dentist at the moment, and this practice is doing a great job fitting people in when they need urgent care.
Would give less if I could. How they’re still running I do not know. Very rude, un compassionate and un helpful. Avoid
I was referred here through 111 with a very painful broken tooth, was given antibiotics after an X-ray showed an abscess and told to come back a week later for a tooth extraction once the infection had cleared up. Received great care on both visits, antibiotics got rid of the pain within 24hrs and I was surprised how easy the tooth extraction was. Big thanks to this place for sorting me out 🙏
If I could give 0 stars I would! Called 111 for an emergency appointment. Dentist was rude and didn't want to hear what I had to say, baring in mind I'm anxious anyway and tried to explain that. Told to sit down had an x-ray and surprise surprise, told I needed antibiotics and would be referred elsewhere and charged £70.00 odd for the pleasure. Dentist is run down and just like a revolving door. Called 111 again and refused to go back here and instead travelled to York and had a completely different experience who removed the wisdom tooth with no issues within minutes and only charged £25.00. How this Dentist is still open is beyond me but I'd advise anyone to refuse to go and take yourself elsewhere.
