My experience with Gripper Jiu-Jitsu has been excellent. Lloyd is a super coach—he covers everything, from beginners’ fundamentals to advanced competitors. I started training with Lloyd right after I decided to learn more leg locks—he’s one of the best in Europe. But he doesn’t just teach techniques; he teaches mindset, weight cuts, brotherhood—everything you need. The man’s super busy, but still finds time to support everyone, including his family. 🙏🏽 The gym also has other coaches who bring loads of experience and different skill sets. Cal does an amazing job with the kids’ program, and Curtis turns beginners into competent machines in no time. The community is unmatched—everyone’s nice and friendly. Join today, and bring everyone you know!
I've trained at a few gyms, but this one stands out on every level. The coaching here is truly world-class — whether you're a complete beginner or chasing competition gold, the instruction is clear, technical, and constantly evolving. You’re not just learning moves here; you’re learning how to think, troubleshoot, and grow on the mats. The membership options are super flexible, which makes it easy to stay consistent even with a hectic schedule. Whether you want to train every day or just a few times a week, there’s something that fits. What really sets this place apart, though, is the culture. Expect quality banter, plenty of laughs, and a tight-knit team that pushes each other to be better. But make no mistake — the rounds are hard. You'll leave every session sweaty, tested, and sharper than before. It’s the perfect balance between good vibes and serious work. If you're looking for a gym that takes your progress seriously without all the pressure, then this is it.
Fantastic BJJ gym with top-level coaching and an amazing atmosphere. The instructors are incredibly skilled and patient, breaking down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand for all levels. Training is tough but always filled with good laughs, making every session something to look forward to. A perfect balance of serious learning and great vibes – highly recommend!
Amazing gym, super friendly and welcoming atmosphere and top notch training. Starting as a beginner I felt myself improving every session with the level of people on the mats. After having some time off cannot wait to get back! Would recommend to anyone looking for a gym!
I joined Gripper 6 months ago and would highly recommend it to anybody looking to begin their BJJ journey / anyone considering switching gyms and want to train at a world class facility. I came to Gripper with 2 years experience under my belt (a white one!) having trained at another establishment all that time. I have to admit I was anxious about the move because id only trained at the one place since starting BJJ, and wasn't sure if I would feel like a bit of an impostor, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The coaches and the other members of the team were all very accepting of me as a newcomer, and I was immediately made to feel part of the team. The only downside is id like to be able to train more than I can! (that's a work / life balance issue, not Grippers!).
