Situated at side of the river bank in the quiet village of Airmyn. There is no public access to the tower itself although after viewing there is a pleasant river bank walk. Parking is a bit tricky at times but the riverbank can be accessed by a set of steps.No wheelchair access and if unsteady walking the stairs could be a problem.
I was born in Airmyn 70 years ago. For 48 years the Clock Tower was a 100 yards from my home. As kids we would listen for the hourly chimes, to ensure we weren't late home.The clock has only two faces, as it's said that the people over the river wouldn't contribute to the cost , so therefore , they weren't allowed to see the time !!
It's locked so don't go expecting to go inside. Don't even know if you can go inside.
