Free, very interesting exhibit on Goole, lots of clear and informative displays. If you want to learn about the history of the town this is the place to go. Nice friendly staff and easy parking. Close to the local High Street
This is a well laid out and very interesting small museum which is on the floor above the Library. Plenty of fun interaction for children, dressing up in vintage clothes, brilliant.. and for the young at heart adults too! Lovely compact art gallery area and scenes of past life in Goole. Wonderful and worth a visit.
We were there to see an art exhibition by Cynthia Ward, in the upstairs museum space. The exhibition was very well laid out and the paintings were fantastic. The museum itself was nice with some interactive items that my two young daughters enjoyed playing with. Downstairs is a library.
This was a superb museum to visit, showing much history of Goole as a docktown! The lifebuoys and old items such as steering wheels or bells are displayed, alongside sailor's outfits and models of the ships. Mock house rooms create a solid depiction of life for the working class in the town and the affect of World War Two is also told, while household items are an interesting piece of memorabilia and paintings are up too of the ships among other town features.
Went to see the ship yard exhibition it was well worth going brought back a lot of memories happy times
