First time visiting this bustling venue for disco bingo event in the large party/events room. Not really sure of what to expect but it was an extremely fun experience. The room was a great space for celebration. The atmosphere was amazing the staff were friendly and were busy picking up empty glasses. The space was clean & airy. The lounge area is good for sports enthusiasts as there are 2 large tv screens available for viewing. There is a big area with a large number of pool tables available. There is a wide selection of beverages too.
Walked into Murphy's Pool and Bar and immediately regretted it. Someone was urinating against the wall outside—great start. Inside, the vibe was just as grim. The whole place felt run down, and to top it off, the toilets are literally on the stage. Yes, the stage. Nothing says class like doing your business in full view of the crowd. We were greeted with silence and stares as if we’d crashed a private wake. Tried to salvage the night with a Corona, but they had no limes. Not even a slice. The only redeeming part? The staff—genuinely lovely people doing their best in a place that’s clearly given up. Shame they’re stuck in such a bleak setup.
Great venue. Very nice tables. Great staf and prices.
Very well run place, bar staff superb. Very welcoming to us as non-regulars.
