Great Stay! - We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were great and the room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was hot and tasty with a good selection of items. Liked the idea of choosing our breakfast items the night before which made breakfast service very quick. Overall, very impressed with our first stay and will be returning as soon as we can. Grassington is a fantastic little village with so much packed in to it.
I really enjoyed our 4 nights...in room #9. Great service staff worked hard to make everything right...Lorna in the bar was super sweet. Fabulous fresh made to order breakfasts...lots of choices. Try the french toast! Small but clean comfy rooms with comfy bed, pillows and sheets. Great shower. with handheld shower head in NEW modern bathroom... Rooms made fresh everyday. Active pub with live entertainment. Zoey was the best! Parking was not so close but free. I did not like all the dogs everywhere...but all dogs were well behaved. Dinner chef was very good. I'd say STAY HERE for a nice time...
Had a lovely stay here. A characterful inn right in the heart of Grassington, with very friendly staff. Good food. Simple modern decor in the rooms, clean and with very comfy beds.
Have stayed at this hotel several times. The staff both running the hotel and serving in its restaurant are EXCELLENT. The food quality in the restaurant is superb and I can highly recommend the garlic mushroom starter - I can guarantee it is the best you will ever taste in your life. Location is great but there is no dedicated parking. The surrounding streets are too narrow to park in, and you can only park a short time on the nearby square IF THERE IS A SPACE AVAILABLE. Access for the disabled is a little challenging, with flights of steps everywhere both to get into the building, and inside it. No ramps or lifts available but that is understandable in such an old, historic building built on a slope like this. Where it really is let down - sorry - is the mattresses on the beds. Amongst the worst hotel beds I have ever slept in. They are so hard its like sleeping on slabs of concrete. There is no "give" in them whatsoever. You wake up constantly through the night with back pain, and in the morning you are equally wrecked for the lack of sleep. If they changed the mattresses for some that are softer, this would make a huge difference. But overall, the service/staff, restaurant and ambience in the place make up for its bedroom shortcomings.
Nice enough little hotel in the middle of Grassington. Difficult to find using sat nav and no parking except on street, which was a real hassle. Rooms are adequate but not large or plush. Bar was busy and pleasant with good range of drinks and food.
