The Devonshire Grassington boasts a pleasing stone facade with higgledy piggledy windows and baby bays, you instantly realise you have stumbled across a true gem in the heart of Grassington Square. Once inside you will surely not be disappointed. Our goal is to provide quality accommodation, excellent food, real ales, good company and exceptional service.
Nationally renowned brewing company Timothy Taylor’s recently bought this iconic village hotel and joined forces with local Pub Company – Pickles Pubs to invest in refurbishing the hotel back to its former glory. Using their experience they have with a local management team created a brand new dining and drinking experience for all to share.
The Devonshire Arms is a location used for the filming of All Creatures Great and Small.

Just made our first visit to this lovely pub obviously because of it's famous connection. The pub is a standalone beautiful venue. It does have lots of memorabilia for those who love All Creatures and has warm and welcoming feel. Thank you to James and the lovely lady working there for making our visit great. The food was brilliant as well. Highly recommended. Claire and Phil
We have just had two wonderful nights at the Devonshire in Grassington. The staff were friendly but not overdoing it. The food was delicious and perfect sizes. I know some comments have suggested the meals are expensive, but they are everywhere and we managed on a budget of £100 total, to each have a main course both nights and we shared a dessert each night, which was ample. The room was delightful and had everything one needed. We had read the details carefully and knew which room would give the best view across the square and also knew that filming only happens outside at Grassington. Other locations are used for filming AGC&S. Highly recommend a stay at the Devonshire
Monday 29th December, Table booked for family meal. Chose from the standard menu rather than the festive menu... The Pub was very busy ( Which is a good sign when a place is full of locals ) Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble... Because it was busy the food did take a good while, but once it came it was piping hot and delicious.... Great food good company and great conversation... Highly recommend the Pub. I will book a room and try the accommodation next time I visit the area.
Came here for my friends wedding and it was gorgeous. Wonderful pub, staff are super friendly and helpful, food was excellent and very tasty. Nothing was too much effort and they catered to every need. Rooms were decorated to high standard and very clean. Locals very friendly and welcoming too. Would 100% recommend and shall be back one day.
Lovely pub - warm and cosy after a long day walking. Dinner was superb - the beef stew and dumplings and blue burger were excellent and a highlight of our trip to the dales. Dog friendly and great atmosphere. Only slight downside is that it is quite pricey - £22 for a burger, but that seems to be quite normal around here 😅
