The only positives at Long Ashes are the staff and the treatments. The ladies who dealt with me were very welcoming , friendly and helpful. (Not their fault they work for a company who falsely advertise a 'Luxury Spa.) I had 2 treatments (a facial and swedish massage ) I thoroughly enjoyed these, it was the only part of the Spa that was worth the journey there! ... Long Ashes Spa is not a 'Stress Free break' so don't be fooled! What they don't tell you is that it's open to the public so children pile in for a funsplash! Running , jumping in , splashing around, shouting and throwing pool toys around! (Noone seems to take note of the Pool Rules.) There are not enough loungers for guests enjoying the Spa. I was lucky enough to get one but I moved because I was getting splashed by children jumping in next to me. The jacuzzi was luke warm . There is a toilet next to the pool you are supposed to use , this is to avoid excess water on the floor in the changing rooms. Obviously with children running back and forth it was flooded with water and I slipped , luckily didn't hurt myself! I was waiting a while for a shower once my session was over because they were taken over by children messing around in there. Naked screaming children rolling around the sofa seats ,making them wet for everyone is exactly what you want when you are on a child free day out yourself away from them!!! So, nothing relaxing about the Spa at all really! You don't have a choice of soup for lunch, I was told I was having mushroom , the only vegatable I don't eat! The cafe is nice but it is also open to the public , who actually took over my reserved table. Sadly , I shall not be returning.

Long ashes is in a beautiful area however the spa is completely falsely advertised and the staff are well aware of this. Don't expect a tranquil experience like you'd expect from such a place as they don't run the spa and pool times separately. Which means you will have children throwing balls and shouting the whole time you are there. The pool was cold, the jacuzzi wasn't working and I felt like I was being boiled alive in the steam room. For the money we paid as a family of 4 for the dip and dine experience it wasn't worth it. Oh and don't bother complaining to head management about your experience either. They couldn't give two hoots about the customers experience and will not give you any money back or offer any kind of worthy alternative. For people considering booking this please go elsewhere to a proper spa so you don't waste a day here. Until they change the way things are advertised it's just a glorified public pool with the odd lounger chair. Read TripAdvisor reviews if you don't believe me!

Very nice, until it gets busy. And it is popular, especially it seems with self serving clients who have no need of any regards to others. Rude if you like. But great facilities, polite efficient staff. Come when it is not too busy, you will love it.

Me and my 2 friends booked a spa day with facial treatments for a well Deserved treat, we’re all paediatric nurses and our job can be very stressful. I’ve not been Ahes spa for a few years and was so looking forward to going. Sadly the place has lost its luxury feel, and it wasn’t the same feelign I got the last time I visited. The facial itself was amazing, however the room was freezing, as was the lounge area you can relax in, there was free coffee in there but we were unable to relax because it was so cold. The sauna, wet room jacuzzi were ok, unfortunately there wasn’t any water available to pour on the pit in the sauna from. The pool wasn’t manned by anyone and there were children jumping in the pool and shouting even though there were clear signs on the wall indicating that this wasn’t allowed. The lounger around the pool was grubby, mouldy and are in a desperate need of replacement. The staff were miserable, not particularly friendly and the man that served us upon arrival seemed to be preoccupied with dealing with other members of staff and people who were members, even though we were there’s first. Disappointing experience in all.

Gone way down hill!!! Paid £20 for a guest pass. Why the hell is it so hot?! Jesus, it ruins it for me, the gym nice, bit grotty if you were a full paying member, but okay. The pool area is far too hot, and the changing rooms, makes it uncomfortable, sweating by the end of your nice swim, stupid! I had showered ready to get ready and have a drink in the cafe to cool off and maybe have a cream tea but the hair dryers are out of service until Monday, there's 2 how can both be out of order and why not tell people at reception when they arrive. I now have to stop my day (birthday I might add) to drive 40 minutes home to dry my hair and get sorted to then come back to Skipton to carry on my planned day! I'm wound up, I had planned a nice birthday day on my own to relax and I've left pissed off. Oh & you no longer get free robes and slippers included with the guest pass! Me and my mum come and do the guest pass for occasions, but each time has got worse! Won't be coming again!!
