Today was Remembrance Sunday and having served for 36 years we have memories and fallen friends. Today's service was in a lovely old ENGLISH church. There were many present and it was a fitting tribute from out town to our fallen and those we remember. The service was to the RBL form.
All Saints Church dates back to the 12th century. The tower is mid-15th century. There have been a lot of alterations over the years. The stained glass windows are only 60 to 70 years old. There are a lot of interesting features, including the gargoyles on the roof. It is a very nice church with an interesting history worth visiting
Beautiful...peaceful...walk through most days on way to work and I always stop to have 5 mins reflection sitting on a bench.
