We just returned after a lovely meal. The service was excellent and felt very friendly and personal. The menu is very extensive so it took a while to choose, but it was worth it. It was so nice to get a more authentic meal rather than the usual. We had 4 separate dishes including Chicken, Prawns and Lamb. All were excellent. It was a Monday night in January so very quiet. I hope this restaurant does well. It deserves to. Oh and I almost forgot. A fantastic selection of non alcoholic beers and drinks!
Excellent curry which Driffield has been missing for a while - since the demise of Trishna. Keen prices and 10% off for cash. Meal for family of 4 (3x mains) worked out at £37. I’ve only ever ordered takeaways but the atmosphere in the restaurant is good, it’s a little small but always busy (which is a good sign). It’s a Balti house so only alcohol free drinks available but you can bring your own - which is even better for the budget conscious.
An absolute 'must try' in the centre of Driffield! We love the food, something for everyone, the Street Lamb Curry is my favourite, and the service is excellent. You are made very welcome, the food is very good quality and arrives promptly from a very busy kitchen. We often have a takeaway, just as good as eating in. You take your own alcohol, meaning the bill at the end of the evening is a pleasant surprise as drink often pushes up the price in most other restaurants. Very well done.
would NOT recommend. Ordered through just eat at 7.20pm. At 8.30 still no food so I called the restaurant. I was told that they were very busy so it would be another 45minutes which was fine- these things happen and the lady on the phone was very nice. 45 minutes and still no food, call again to be told it would be with me in 10 minutes. Call again at 9.50pm after it still didnt arrive to be told the driver left 10minutes ago so should be arriving any minute. I finally decided to cancel the order. At 10.25pm I get a call from the driver saying he is in the village. I call the restaurant and they are very apologetic and ask me to accept the food for free- I thought this was a redemption (and was prepared to give them another chance) as it was over 3 hours late only to receive another call 3 minutes later before the food even showed up to be told to pay the driver £20 instead, on a £30 order 3 hours late! Very disappointing service and would not recommend to anyone who actually wants to eat. This kind of service just doesnt survive in small village networks so I hope the next Indian to open in Driffield will be much more customer friendly.
Brilliant service, lovely Waitress and hugely generous portion size; arguably the most generous portions from the pickle tray to the madras! Nice clean restaurant, and a nice family who own it, will return if we are back in Driffield again, thanks again guys :-) Update: yes we did return and once again the food was lovely! Had our usual and the bull only came to £40.. so reasonable! Next time I’ll have the chicken tikka masala that my partner had as it was lush! Thanks again guys!
