I went for the one day stone carving course with my dad and it was amazing! Alan and Tracey are lovely and made the atmosphere really welcoming. There are lots of designs you can pick as a beginner or you can bring your own and Alan is great at making your design come to life, and explains the process and tools clearly. We had a really good time and the day course flies by, would highly recommend!
Very kind young ginger boy helped me with the stone carving course, highly recommend. Although his hair got stuck in one of the stones, we all make mistakes though.
I attended a Carving Friday course at the Northern Sculpture Studio last week. It was a really great experience. Tracey and Alan are very friendly and relaxed. Following Alan’s very clear instructions I was able to carve a Yorkshire rose. The end result was better than I could have wished. There are lots of different designs a beginner can try. If you fancy having a go at stone carving then I would highly recommend this course to you. Thanks again to Tracey and Alan.
