Lovely lodge. After looking at the reviews we were a bit worried but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived . They are more modern than expected. Kitchen with island and even a Xmas tree . 2 bathrooms ( one of them being en-suite) All the necessities supplied- towels, toilet roll, bedding. Great host, even topped up our hot tub . Had a fab girls weekend away and would definitely return

From reading the reviews I genuinely wasn’t looking forward to it, however we stayed at the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised, the lodge was more modern then the photos showed, it was lovely and clean really couldn’t complain. A man at the site came and filled the hot tub back up the next day, in-fact he left the pipe in case we needed it doing again. Obviously there were little bits of odd jobs that needed doing due to general wear and tear but for the price you really can’t complain. Absolutely would return and recommend.

Back from a weekend away with friends. Loved sycamore lodge the first time we visited 4 years ago but really disappointed with it this time round. Upon arrival key is left in the door. No coat hooks in hallway to hang coats. Patio doors locked with 2 padlocks as doors do not lock Lino in kitchen and hallway poorly fitted with bumps in. TV on upon arrival and wouldn't switch off with remote. Dryer not working, luckily was able to peg wet towels and costumes on the line. Trees above hot tub require cutting back. Canopy above hot tub in desperate need of a clean. Decking bowing in areas and raised in others. Dining chairs need replacing due to holes in were you can see the padding. Settee also needs replacing as throws were covering the missing backing, showing wood. Both twin bedrooms had no bedside lamps or TV remotes. Only 2 tile sized mirrors, (1 in each bathroom) but need to stand far back to see in them as placed to high up. Limited space in fridge. Very disappointed this year and won't be in a hurry to book here again.

Where do I start , sofa was ripped to shreds , owner tried to hide it with throws. He expected you to sit on it . Patio doors locks broken . Owner drilled the door to put padlocks on . You had to use the padlocks to get in and out of the doors . Owner has no intention of replacing the doors or locks . Sewage smell from the pipes under the sink . It was that bad we couldn’t open the cupboard under the sink . Dishwasher broken , dryer broken . Holes in the walls . Bathroom mouldy , flooring doesn’t fit properly . The decking area is rotten falling apart . Rusty old stepladders to use to get in and out of the hot tub . Hot tub needs updating . Fencing around the hot tub rotten . Cobwebs inside and out . Old picnic table on the decking . Decking needs replacing and the fencing . One lodge was empty , key left in door . The patio doors to this lodge were broken too . Handle missing locks didn’t work . If you stayed there you wouldn’t be able to lock the door . Bedroom window handle missing , couldn’t close the window . When we arrived no one to greet you and check you in . Key just left in door for anyone to enter . The place has gone to rack and ruin . Owner has no intention of fixing anything or replacing . The site consists of 3 lodges and one cottage , all in need of serious repairs . The site needs to be closed down . We complained to hoseasons . They got half our money back from the owner . Hoseasons were great and was horrified at the state of the site . Real life photos very different to the photos on the website . Very bizzare place and disgusting . Would not recommend . A lot of the issues we had other people have had over the last few years . Owner clearly not replacing things .

I had planned to leave a review anyway, but this morning as I was packing to leave, a man who may work here or possibly own the place shouted at me, asking if I had to park my car on the grass. For context, when I arrived, there was no contact information, no reception, no instructions, and no message about how to check in. Another guest, who has apparently been coming here for years, told me to go into the log cabin where the key was already in the door. He had also parked on the grass next to his cabin, so I simply did the same. Being shouted at like that, after receiving no clear guidance, was extremely rude. There were parts of the stay we did enjoy, but the experience was affected by worn-out furniture, a back door that could only be secured with padlocks, no cleaning tools like a vacuum or a brush, and a very poor check-in process. The lack of communication, followed by being criticised for not doing things a specific way, made the stay feel unwelcoming. I would not recommend this place, even considering the price.
