This is a welcoming and warm library run by volunteers. I order a lot of books from other branches and the staff have been very helpful redirecting me to copies within their own “yellow sticker” collection where there may be no waiting list. Excellent second hand books to buy also.
Incredibly well run, with a dedicated team of lovely staff who are always welcoming and helpful. The library offers a wide range of resources and activities, making it a fantastic asset to the community. Highly recommend!
Very strange experience. Back in May a friend of mine advised that copies of When Saturday Comes football magazine, for months on the shelves, had been removed. I emailed the library to ask why. I got avery angry and rude reply, ' we are Greenhill library in SHEFFIELD. ' So that means..what? All complaints and enquiries around the issue are utterly pointless. They have subsequently removed all New Internationalist from their shelves , as I mentioned that magazine too. Absolutely terrible service and exceptional rudeness too.
Lovely area to read and relax and browse. The children's area is beautiful. Choice is limited since the council cut funding but the volunteers have done their best to overcome that with their own yellow stickers system for donated books.
Cosy little library with a great layout. Run by volunteer staff who clearly put a lot of effort into making it a nice place to visit. Staff very helpful and full of information about events and services available. Like most libraries in the city it has a used books for sale area, but unlike other libraries we've been to this is set up as a proper shop section, like a gift shop in a museum. Plus there was a bigger range for sale than you usually see. Visited in passing as we were in the area, and so glad we did.
