The Grennel Moor used to be my local pub in the 70s and part 80s. I used to live at the back of the pub in the houses on Atlantic Road. The pub then was a great place to go plenty of mates used to frequent the pub at the weekend. There was never any trouble in the pub there used to be plenty of laughs with a chap who used to take Tommy Cooper off when in the pub. Quite a busy pub at the weekends, Christmas time was a great time to be had in the pub. But I haven't been in the moor for over 50 years. I was 19 when I first went for a beer in the moor food wasn't served then only peanuts, crisps, etc. I was checking out my maps on the pubs to see if they have changed or closed permanently, and I noticed there was a sign high up on the wall that states the pub is to let.
