Very friendly local pub that is on the up . Unpretentious and a good range of beers - Cruzcampo,Morretti and proper ales like Theakstons Boltmaker, Wainwrights, Hobgoblin which were fresh and well kept. Pricing is very reasonable too. Cosy, room enough, families and well behaved dogs welcome inside. Will definitely return when next in the area.
The mount,my local for 38 years, appeared near to closing after our much loved landlady Gill gave up the lease when it became too difficult to sustain. However along came Ben,the newly installed manager who brought fresh ideas to keep the pub going. This guy has turned the fortunes of the pub around with new regulars and plenty of passing trade who often return for the excellently kept beers.Well done Ben hope you're here for many years to come.
I am a local and go there often, there's a nice and cosy atmosphere, one of my favourites in this area!! ππ

The Mount has had the life brought back into it at last. If you've not been in for while come back again.
