Very disappointing experience. Delivery took 1 hour and 20 minutes, so all food arrived cold. The chips were wet and soggy. Two chicken bowls were missing — we ordered six and only received four. The chow mein was burnt and arrived with no sauce, despite being ordered with sauce. We called the restaurant to raise these issues and were told, “that’s just how it comes” and advised to make a complaint through Just Eat, with no interest shown in resolving the problem. After reading other Google reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated issue. Poor service and unacceptable food quality.
One of the worse Chinese takeaways I have had. The won ton soup was thick and doughy, the fried rice was greasy and flavourless. The beef and mushroom was find but not great. The memory of such a dire meal will certainly help with reducing my takeaway ordering
Had a chicken chow mein with prawn crackers and the chicken was obviously one of these compressed chicken blocks instead of fresh chicken and it was full of water when you bit into it. On to the crackers well they didn’t have any taste at all the prawn must’ve escaped the pan as they tasted so bland. All in all a shocking experience and I won’t be going there again.
Used to always order from here but the food quality is shocking these days, rice in special fried rice was mushy, all the meat in it was super fatty, every dish was tasteless and bland, especially the chow mien and rice, and they forgot our duck, definitely won't return
I’ve never had a better chinese in my life. I’ve just moved to york and i will travel to the ends of the earth for the chicken chow mein from here I LOVE CHANS im the biggest fan ever
