We have been using Happy Panda for approximately seven or eight years after trying at least 20 other Chinese takeaways in and around south Sheffield, and this is by far the best - not greasey or over salty like a lot of others are. We don’t go as often as we used to - probably only every couple of months now, but we had one last night and it is still as good as ever. Always delivered piping hot, without too much of a wait and the quality is consistently good. The only complaint that I have had with them in the time that we have used them is that we had stale prawn crackers twice. Last night we had chop suey rolls, prawn crackers, house special curry, char siu in black bean sauce, chips and egg fried rice. I am a fairly critical person, especially when it comes to food, but would struggle to fault any of it.
We go here every time we fancy a Chinese take away. Salt and pepper prawns are a standard in the order. I would recommend the beef chow mein as well as the curry. On point every time and haven’t found a better Chinese yet. Would recommend!
Good food but ordering taking by male staff is poor, very abrupt and you have to check that your order has been taken correctly. Prices risen by approx 15% and now charging 10 pence for a very small carrier bag, how are you supposed to carry a hot carton, just another money making rip off. This, together with the poor attitude of the counter staff, let's the shop down, despite the efforts of the chefs preparing good food. Inflation is 2.5% so please justify your price rises.
The food was pretty basic and average, although the portion sizes were quite generous. Everything seemed to be a little overcooked and took longer than stated in terms of waiting for it to be prepared. I'm not a fan of ribs cut into small 1 inch cubes, I prefer the full rib. Our order came with a portion of rice without a lid on the container, too. I've definitely had better Chinese takeaways, but this was ok. Would I return for another meal? Yeah, more than likely
Second time coming here and won't be the last beef chow mein is really nice and salt and pepper chicken was good too with plenty for the price my partner said that there salt and pepper chip's was also very good would definitely recommend
