The car park, providing a significant number of spaces, often fills up quickly on weekday mornings, highlighting its popularity. However, ample parking is usually available on weekends and evenings. For rail passengers, the Park and Ride offers a stress-free alternative to driving directly into the city. Recent significant upgrades to the Dore & Totley station have greatly enhanced the passenger experience. The addition of a second platform, connected by a new, fully accessible footbridge with lifts and stairs on both sides, has doubled the station's capacity. Both platforms have been extended to accommodate six-carriage trains, improving overall service and reducing potential congestion. The upgrades also include improved lighting, security cameras, tactile paving for visually impaired passengers, and hearing loops.
