Well Pharmacy

I pick up prescriptions from this place but be aware they seem to be keen to take your blood pressure as I was asked every time I went in . As they where persistent in asking every time I visited I challenged them about it and was eventually told there is a financial motivation to ask ,nothing to do with concerns for my health. Just be aware. Otherwise good service.

I have been using this pharmacy for about ten years now, having switched from the one further up the road. I switched due to changing GPs and this was is over the road so much more convenient. There doesn't seem to be a regular pharmacist. You see the same faces cropping up again and again but they have a place for a name plate behind the counter and this seems to be updated every time there's a different pharmacist running things. This doesn't detract from the service though. I am usually picking up repeat prescriptions for myself, or one-off prescriptions for my youngest daughter who has mild but regular(ish) medical needs. I've never had a problem collecting a prescription, or taking to the pharmacist if required. There's a tiny private consultation area (it may be a bit claustraphobic for people not comfortable in confined spaces) and I've discussed medications in there, had my blood pressure taken, had my flu jab etc. Of course, the pharmacy can be busy so don't be surprised if you have a five minute wait for your prescription (they're fine if you want to pop to one of the neighboring shops) or you might have to wait a bit longer if you want to talk to the pharmacist. They'll get you sorted though!

Had my blood pressure checked by the pharmacist. He was pleasant and professional and discussed future actions. Most helpful.

Not able to provide the full prescription for my daughter midweek so returned Saturday to pick up residue only to find now closed all day Saturday. Called in to Dore Well to try and get remaining prescription dispensed only to be told ‘they’re not linked’ - despite being the same company - and ‘to call 111’….. Better idea - find an alternative pharmacy…

I was sent a text message from Dr’s to go to my local Pharmacy for a blood pressure reading. I visited Well pharmacy at Totley this morning to ask if this could be done only to be looked at by the lady behind the till like I had offended her, it was clearly a problem for this lady by the look on her face to give me any kind of customer service. I was happy to wait or come back. Very disappointed in the service received by this lady, I walked out. Certainly will not be going there again to be made to feel uncomfortable.
