An experience that genuinely upset me. The older lady serving me commented on my tattoos. To quote "look at those tattoos... disgusting, what made you do that?" Really inappropriate and frankly rude to comment on a customers appearance to their face. A formal complaint will be made.
Clean shop nicely set out and friendly staff Much too pricey for a charity shop. A lot of bespoke third party products with huge mark ups taking up shelf space. In my opinion It's a partially high priced gift and fashion shop blended with charity stock to I suppose "qualify" for the tax and rate exemptions it seems to be a trend in high streets and there are charities that have been called out on various issues on this level. Myself I prefer all the stock that comes in to go on display, not out of the back door to eBay and the residual to the shop floor. Otherwise the experience is diluted. For me charity shops serve a twofold purpose. Primarily a cheaper source of goods that would otherwise be out of reach for the less well off and at the same time provide a revenue source for the charity. I fear chief executive officers on comparitively huge salaries have driven the ethos sideways and in my opinion are gravy trains for corporate executives. But that is again just my opinion.
Polite helpful staff both to drop off donated goods and to purchase. Well laid out store and nice range of local new goods to buy.
Lovely friendly, welcoming staff and safe shopping environment. Quality goods which are well displayed, a pleasure to browse around.
Friendly lady working in the shop, good selection of items reasonably priced
