Lovely walk up a fairly steep hill, with brilliant 360° views around Patley Bridge. Good for small boys as there is a quarry you can see at the top with loads of diggers etc!
We found this after the third attempt to turn off for the sculpture that were, in fact, quarry access roads. Even then, we took the first turn and were on a very narrow single track road with very little room to turn. It was not just us. A few other groups had done exactly the same as we laughed and chatted in this the proper car park. Google this first and get a fix on its location. The Coldstones Cut is well worth the little bit of planning. Look for Coldstones Cut for our review and photos as it was amazing.
Great car park for an overnight stop. Nice walk to the Coldstones, great views east walk
Parked here to do a six mile circular walk across the road, which was extremely enjoyable. However, the Lime Kiln’s ruins were fascinating and the Coldstones Sculpture was spectacular. Well worth the 1/2 mile walk up the hill. Also - Free Parking!
Fantastic idea and well executed. Highly recommend visiting here if in the area. The weather was good and there was no one there when we visited! Fantastic views of Nidderdale and the quarry. Would go back during the day to watch the quarry on action.
