Hare Cottage at Hill Top

Perfect get away from busy London. Absolutely perfect location Karen and Mark were welcoming and informative. Lovely touch with the welcome box, bread, jams, milk and butter

We absolutely loved our stay here. Hare Cottage is cosy, charmingly decorated and has an absolutely stunning view. The shower pressure/heat was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, it was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was helpful and friendly. The welcome basket of tasty homemade bread and brownies was such a lovely touch. We have no complaints about our visit, highly recommend staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hare Cottage. This place really is a gem. What a fantastic way to end lockdown with a relaxing few days in the cottage and out walking. Mike & Karen have thought of everything you could need and have added a real touch of luxury to the cottage. The welcome fizz and brownies were the icing on the cake! Thank you for having us and we look forward to our return!

The property and surrounding areas are stunning and very well kept. Lovely added extras that made you feel very welcomed (to begin with)! On our last evening at the property, we had a knock on the door at 9.00pm. I answered the door expecting a quick friendly chat to discuss our stay, how wrong I was! Upon booking the property we had selected the pets allowed filter and planned to take our 6 week old twins with us. Now after review of the small print we can see that it does state only 1 pet on request and no children allowed but to your average customer, this was not clearly stated. An honest mistake on our part and one we have apologised for on several occasions now. However the aggressive attitude from the intoxicated owners towards our family we do believe was not warranted. Upon further conversations with the owners who had wanted us to leave the property immediately and after they had taken the key to the property, we no longer felt safe to continue our stay and felt it was better to wake our sons, pack up and return home! I have met some unfriendly people in my life but these really were something else. Karen by name, Karen by nature!

A fantastic place to stay with the best views ever. Lovely quirky cottage beautifuly decorated and super comfy bed. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
