I tried this small craft beer venue last night having noticed it in the past few months. It has only been opened around a year and is a nice cool environment. The bar staff working when I visited were friendly and very helpful re the beers on offer. Proferring samples before you bought. I didn't eat here hence the lack of a food rating. The pale ale I tried was very good, 'Mosaic Ale' if I remember correctly. Overall a nice addition to the beer scene in Yeadon.

A brilliant addition to Yeadon’s bar scene! Against the Grain has quickly become a favourite spot of mine. Set in a beautifully repurposed Temperance Hall, the space feels both historic and fresh. The selection of craft ales is top-notch—four rotating casks and nine keg taps, plus a fridge full of interesting cans and bottles. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who genuinely care about your experience. It’s dog-friendly, family-friendly (until 7pm), and the charcuterie boards and pizzas are a great touch if you fancy a bite. Whether you're popping in for a quiet pint or meeting friends for a relaxed evening, this place hits the mark. Highly recommend if you're in the area—Yeadon’s got a gem here!

Our first visit to this newly opened bar in Yeadon, what a fabulous surprise it was. A great array of fine beers to choose from, and not too expensive (a lovely 4.5 % American pale ale was just £4.50). The staff were incredibly friendly and polite; a particular thanks to Hannah, who was the epitome of how a person behind the bar should be, warm, friendly and welcoming. We were quite peckish and initially thought that £17 for a cheese board charcutier for two was quite expensive; how wrong we were! A fantastic choice of 4 delicious cheeses, lots of bread, pickles, humous, onions, peppers, olives, balsamic/oil dip and chutney – probably the best cheese board we have had, and that includes fine dining restaurants! It's dog friendly too! Highly recommended, and it is great to see a quality bar with such excellent staff open up in the Yeadon area; I wish them all the success they deserve.

Great bar with wide selection of drinks always available. Staff are excellent and really know their stuff. Addition of the Pizza oven is a real bonus.
