Booked for Christmas lunch today, never been in before. Received a warm welcome from the landlord. Lovely bright pub with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and the portions were just right. Staff were friendly and when I mentioned leaving a tip was informed all tips were being donated to the Rob Burrow fund for MND. What a fantastic gesture. Thank you
Just called in for a bite, early afternoon. Superb value for money standard pub grub but cooked and presented to perfection, by lovely friendly staff and a convivial host. Believe it's under new ownership - they're off to a flying start in lush and cosy surroundings, definitely worth a rainy winter afternoon visit!
My sister and myself had a lovely lunch here today really lovely surroundings with a spooky atmosphere ready for Halloween. The food was well cooked and very well Presented. The lovely young lad that served us called Tom very well presented Very likable personality and very upbeat will definitely be going back also not complaining but the price was very pleasing with the amount of food we had will definitely be back. Keep up the good work. well worth a visit
Booked for my granddaughters birthday, which they knew about, asked for a child’s menu, told it was on back of main menu, it wasn’t, so then they spent 5 minutes looking for a child’s menu. Put our order in, chicken nuggets, steak pie, loaded hotdog, food came quite quickly. Don’t know what was loaded about the hotdog, just had some dried crispy onions on, hotdog cold, steak pie microwaved too much, couldn’t cut it, frozen chips, frozen peas, chicken nuggets ok, till I asked for tomato ketchup & mayo, was given empty bottles asked for more, given more empty bottles & told that’s all they had in the place, my grandaughter couldn’t eat her dinner, typical 8 year old needed ketchup. I read bad reviews b4 we went but thought they couldn’t be that bad, they really are
Really friendly staff. The pub has a proper local pub atmosphere with the staff knowing the regulars drinks as they come in. Food was really good but the portions were a bit small for the price.
