I've been a regular at BIRD in Guiseley since the day it opened, and I’ve visited more than 20 times now. Every single time, the experience has been fantastic. I’ve brought friends and colleagues from Japan, England, Italy, Poland—even guests from India—and without exception, they’ve all loved it. That says a lot! In my honest opinion, BIRD serves the most authentic Indian food I’ve tasted in Leeds. The flavors stay true to proper North Indian cuisine—rich, vibrant, and deeply satisfying. It’s not just a meal; it’s a taste of home. Wishing the team all the very best—your consistency and quality are truly commendable! Just one small request: it would be great to see a few more vegetarian options on the menu. And please bring back the Gunpowder Potatoes—they were a real favorite!

We absolutely love visiting the Bird. It is the best takeaway of its kind nearby and even better to sit in and enjoy the wonderful service by all of the kind and friendly staff. This time we had the Chicken 65, Adraki Lamb Chops, Railway Lamb Curry and the Seabass and they were all incredible!

First time eating here. Great food and service. non halal meat so great for us as being Sikh as not many places now serving non halal meat in Indian restaurants. We had lamb curry which was melt in the mouth and spiced lovely. Also had chicken curry and makni dhal. Could fault any of the dishes and all tasted authentic. Restaurant not massive so early booking recommended Will be going again.

We visited for the simple fact it serves Non-Halal authentic Panjabi food and that is VERY hard to find in Yorkshire. We weren't disappointed neither! The food is locally sourced and you can tell the difference and in the quality of the food. We went for a mixture of starters, as they don't do a Mixed Grill as such, but were amazed at the quality of the produce. The marinades were icing on the cake for the meats and Salmon that were cooked in the tandoor to perfection! Up came the main course, both veg and non-veg, of which we were almost already full from the starters! Couldn't help but wanting the fireworks of flavours to continue exploding on our mouths and it did! For us, the starters stole the show! You get what you pay for and we noticed it in our food. The hospitality, courtesy and politeness of the staff was amazing so thank you to the front line staff too! The chefs have done a great job and I can only say that I'm SO happy to have an authentic Panjabi restaurant that caters for consumers that don't eat halal, Thank you, The Bird and I can't wait to come back! We had the following:- Starters Paani poori shots Samosa Papdi Chaat Malai Paneer Tikka Chicken tikka Kabab Chicken cream cheese tikka Mustard Fish Tikka Adraki Lamb Chop Mains Paneer Methi Matar Malai Panjabi Chana Masala Rajasthani laal maas Chicken Tikka Karahi Sides Tandoori Roti Garlic Coriander Naan Chilli Garlic Naan

I will try and keep this short and sweet. I have eaten a ridiculous amount of curries over the years, and for me Bird, (and although completely different), The International on Sticker Lane in Bradford, are two of my absolute favourites. Bird just better tbh. My friend recommended Bird to me, so I went with my partner and two kids. I asked them all at the end of the meal, “what are you marks out of ten then ???” They all quickly replied 10/10. The quality of the chicken, especially in the various Chicken Tikka etc starters we had, was Premier League quality ! It was outstanding - check out the pics 👍
