We traveled from London to Leeds and chose this Italian restaurant for dinner ,and it was an excellent choice. We had the steak and prawns, both of which were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. Special thanks to Mr Farzin and Mr Shahin for their excellent management and warm hospitality, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Everything was perfect, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Leeds.

We had a lovely evening at Il Piacere with delicious food, welcoming hospitality and the staff were very friendly towards us and the five children we had with us. Nothing was too much trouble prior to our visit and they made sure our dietary requirements were met, we all enjoyed our pizzas and pastas. The restaurant is also very convenient if you want a bite to eat before or after a show at Yeadon Theatre, like we did. Thank you.

Great food and amazing service. The atmosphere was a little loud as there was a birthday party but I have been before and the restaurant can become very intimate. An underrated restaurant with greta authentic Italian cuisine. Highly recommend.

Went back last Sat, sadly disappointed… We have been before and it’s always been very busy and the food/service great so my husband, myself and my best friend went back last Saturday evening (we had booked). There were literally 2/3 tables in (including us) and I appreciate it was a cold January evening but we had to wait 15 mins before we had our drink order taken. Luckily it arrived with our fantastic server Taz who literally made our night by being so attentive and chatty (if you want her to be - she is very good at reading people and we have had her before) - no faulting her service. However the new owner, although very lovely, struggled to understand us (English) and it took another while for us to order food - we had to grab his attention to order. The communication was a bit awkward and I asked for the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and zucchini fries. My husband had the seafood platter and my best friend the lobster ravioli. When it came theirs was fine - although the lobster ravioli was on a plate and that was it (no other bread/ accompaniments) but we were brought 2 bowls of cubed assuming sautéed potatoes (which weren’t crunchy or very nice unfortunately) and in a bowl were a few skinny chips and something else but not the zucchini fries. The main thing was that my supposed fillet steak wasn’t fillet steak although you couldn’t tell at first because it was smothered in sauce which was steak Diane sauce with some whole peppercorns thrown in. Was bland and weird. The steak was so chewy I had to do the unthinkable and spit it into my napkin discreetly thinking it was a fatty end but no, another 3 attempts and it was the same - plus I had ordered medium rare and it was well done. I wasn’t going to say anything but our waitress Taz asked if there was a problem with the meal (the steak didn’t come with any greens/veg by the way) and I told her. She was very sorry, offered to give me another but it was too late for me then. She passed on my comments. When it came to the bill it was £180 (we did have 2 bottles of wine and 2 beers) but it still seemed a lot for what we had and the quality of the food. Especially the steak which never came off the bill or any gesture made. If it wasn’t for Taz then the night would have been a bit of a disaster. I just hope the new owner takes note before many other people stop coming to this usually lovely restaurant. No one else came in after our 7pm booking. I don’t know if that’s because of the fact it’s January, the cold or something else. Please try harder guys as this restaurant has always had top notch reviews, great atmosphere, fabulous food and amazing service. It’s critical to get drinks out asap, provide the highest quality meats and seafood, please put veg with your meals as standard, clearer specials written on your boards and be attentive (no one should ever need to call you over) and say goodbye/thank you to your customers. We left and there was a group of men talking with the owner, we walked right through and nothing. Taz had left at 10 as no one bar is there then. I have been really honest and write this review as constructive feedback to help as it’s only about 6 weeks since the new owner taken over. I used to work in hospitality so happy to return if there’s improvement and give and give another, more positive review. Well done Taz.
