I moved over to this surgery last year. Best decision ever. Every phone call I’ve had with the receptionists has had a positive result, every appointment achieved without delay. Every discussion with doctors, nurses and pharmacists has been dealt with attentively. A great big thumbs up for Rosie the in-house Physio, seen within days, had fantastic results from her suggested exercises and advice. I call her Mrs Magic.

Review based on the situation with the coronavirus ! I managed to park right outside the building and able to unload my wheelchair directly onto the road next to a dropped kerb . There are steps up to the main door and a ramp entrance just a few yards up on your left . With covid restrictions in place the main door was shut . I used the disabled button to release the door and it opened and swung towards me !!!! I had to Manage through this door and report to reception on my right . Having done that there is another door which also opens towards you . Not a lot of wiggle room with a decent size chair . The waiting room was empty but had only a few well spaced out chairs . After leaving I had a look around and there is a small car park nearby on opposite side of road .

I had been calling Yeadon and Guiseley surgery every morning at 8am. Only to be told there were no appointments. Today I spoke to a receptionist called Gillian Bedford, she was very helpful and her telephone manner was excellent. She managed to get me an appointment at Guiseley surgery. I needed a course of antibiotics for an infection, which I should have started at the beginning of the week. So many thanks to Gillian who has helped me on the road to recovery.

I have been lied to a number of times by receptionists here, notably on follow up promises, which were mostly used to get rid of me... only for me to return later with the same requests. Today, I went in to ask about why I received a phone call from them on Sunday at 8:38am. A receptionist told me that it was an online GP call and insisted that I gave my consent for this call (which I never did). When I kindly pointed out that they should take note of the issue to avoid repeats, I was bluntly disrespected. Such mistakes waste precious NHS time and cause unnecessary strain on patients.

Started being ill over Christmas which was an on and off illness. Thought I was better but not. Rang 111 on a Sunday and within minutes got offered an emergency appointment at Wharfedale. Few days later rang GP and receptionist could not have helped more. I didn't mind the phone wait as I knew I needed to be seen. Got an appointment that morning and the doctor was great and didn't rush me. Tests were arranged and all follow ups I needed were promptly arranged. The communication from the surgery was great and because I drive for a living and find it hard to answer the phone the lovely reception staff even booked my specialist appointment for me. Thank you to the GP, Nursers and reception staff for everything
