Established in 1988 Flowers by Karen built a reputation of being one of the most cutting edge florists in the industry with the owner at that time winning the coverted RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal as well as being voted one of the top 10 leading florists in the UK by the Independent on Sunday.

The current proprietor Melanie Harvey has been at Flowers by Karen for the last 10 years and is based locally, a qualified Level 3 Floristry tutor who is keen to share skills and design philosophy, whilst maintaining high standards of products and service. Melanie offers private one to one training sessions and group workshops which can be specifically designed to meet individual requirements from those who have an ambition to make floristry a career, florists wishing to improve their skills or groups just wanting a bit of creative fun.

The team of florists at Flowers by Karen are constantly working to very high standards of quality, enhancing their skills in floristry and customer care.

My Dad is in hospital at the moment and he ordered some flowers to thank my mum for her constant rushing round for him. They came today and I wasn't in to answer the door. The delivery driver went to the hassle of putting them between our bins and using our bin lids to make sure they were covered so they wouldn't get wet. The flowers are absolutely stunning and my mum adores them. Kudos all around. 👏

I rang today to order a surprise bouquet for a retirement and not only did they agree to do it they even delivered it so quickly. In addition to that the bouquet was absolutely stunning - i told them to do "florist choice" but no festive flowers and the results were incredible - thank you for fulfilling my request so quickly and so incredibly. Flowers by Karen did my wedding flowers on the 6th August. They were all lovely fresh flowers and all still going strong a week after. Would definitely recommend to anyone else getting married. Thank you so much!

I used this shop to send my friend, who lives in Rawdon, flowers. Had to base it from reviews considering I'm not local and I'm thrilled to ribbons I chose Flowers by Karen, delivered in the morning, photo evidence and a very happy friend on her birthday!! You definitely get your money's worth
