We just popped in for an hour after another event & met some delightful people so ended up staying longer than planned but we'll worth it so Hi to all of you !!! Jackie on the karaoke who sounds just like Amy Winehouse. Jacket rendition was just as good as the original & bet you'd never expect that in halifax on a Wednesday teatime!! Also delightful & very helpful barstaff and other customers. We arrived in time for the box offering £100 for a £1 ticket. Thinking my luck might be in for once I we went mad and got 2. Luck was sadly elsewhere as I've got 2 useless tickets in my recycling bag and lost my 2 🦑 But life goes on & the DJ running the show was lovely also so score out of 10 ?? A pretty sound 11 /10. We'd a very pleasant time with lovely people we'd never met before so what more can you ask for other than a winning ticket!!
Great welcome from the bar staff (Beth). Offered a taster of the Moorhouses Straw Dogs and it was delicious. £2.90 for a pint. Cosy beer garden at the back, with a covered area, should it rain. Music playing but at a good level, so it was easy to talk without shouting. We liked it here.
Cracking karaoke no frills, good time pub with friendly staff. Go for Weds and Thurs for cheesy entertainment and stay for sports, slots, and the secret menu. Staff love trying out new recipes!
Very friendly pub .good for a night out round Halifax.
This pub has a new manager Shannon she's only been in 8 weeks. She's very friendly & has a bubbly personality. I can already see the pub getting more customers in everytime i visit. The atmosphere and staff are great. The pub is clean and beer great. There's now singers on every Thursdays to see how that goes. Haven't marked the food as they don't sell meals, only your normal, crisp, nuts, etc.
