The Courtyard Halifax

I've not been in here for years but what a fantastic difference to the bad old days ! Really friendly and welcoming, lots of old friends and quickly made plenty of new ones. Really can't say enough to compliment the current management and after a transformation refurb I can't imagine anyone could ask for more .A massive well done to everyone concerned 😍🤩🤣 xx I've been back recently and the Courtyard gets better with every visit, happy people having a chat with friends over a pint of top quality beer or lager, interesting conversations with intelligent people, laughter and smiling faces as we all meet up with friends old and new but my biggest surprise has been chatting to a gent I didn't think I'd seen before and it turned out to be one of out Town crowd from the 1970s! What a delight , I don't know who was more gobsmacked, him or me !! Still lovely to try and catch up some of those missing years and chat about what life's thrown at us along the way 😀 The horrible downside of running a pub in this busy world is the terrible violence and abuse that tge poor staff have to deal with and it makes me so sad to see how that aspect of a Landlords life is today. A tiny female was in there having a few, suddenly turned nasty so was ushered out and told to go away but would she be told to go away and not come back? Absolutely not. She suddenly became a I can't find the word to describe the vile threats that came out of her mouth, disgusting 😤 😒 😑 However the fabulous staff who'd removed her very firmly but with no violence at all then had to listen to a barrage of poison which would have turned a bottle of milk sour. Good girls these lasses really stood their ground and I've not a clue where she went off to but hopefully she learnt her lesson and if she dares set foot near tge Courtyard again any welcome I guess will simply be 'You know where the door is, shut it on your way out'. Extremely well done ladies 👏 👍🏼 xx

Looks amazing after the new refurb ! The place seems a lot more busier now , definitely more inviting would definitely recommend

Couldn’t recommend this pub enough! Very clean and inviting especially after the new refurb it looks absolutely mint! Owners and staff are brilliant would definitely recommend visiting whether you’re from Halifax or not😊

The courtyard is the pub of Halifax bar staff are absolutely amazing and has the best atmosphere would recommend it to anyone

Didn’t eat here but just wanna say it’s an amazing place!! Bar staff really friendly!! Allowed me and my mates to move tables and chairs to watch a football match together! Drinks slightly on the expensive side but Idc
