Cracking little spot in the heart of Halifax! The Hop Yard Bar never disappoints with a perfectly pulled pint of White Rat, fresh and full of flavour. You really can’t beat the setting either, nestled in the iconic Piece Hall, it’s got bags of atmosphere and charm. The staff are a real credit to the place. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to chat beer, wine or sprits! Whether you’re just passing through or making a day of it, this place is well worth a stop. Get yourself there!
The Hop Yard is a fantastic find inside the stunning Piece Hall. If you appreciate quality beer, this is your place. They have a fine selection of cask and craft beers, always well-kept and interesting. The location is excellent, making it a great place to stop for a refreshing drink while enjoying the unique atmosphere of the hall. Highly recommended for beer lovers!
20/05/25: first time here at the Hop Yard. Opened on Friday 18th April in time for the Bank Holiday Weekend. Amazing friendly staff. From the faces behind the Hour Glass and The Wine Barrel. Fantastic location on the ground floor of the Piece Hall in the far corner. Dog friendly! Good selection of craft beers/ales & cocktails too!
Fab bar right in the centre of Piece Hall. Friendly and helpful service 👌🏼 Serves a great pint of Guinness! 🍺Lovely outdoor seating and a good place to watch the world pass by with an adult beverage!
Couple of hand-pull real ales plus around a dozen others. Really friendly staff and fair prices for location. Will definitely come back.
