This is a must if you are visiting halifax. A huge selection of beers try a sample before you buy. Have a pie with your pint. Stunning decorwith plenty of space explore, lots of quirky rooms. Relaxing atmosphere and dimly lit rooms. Ideal if you are visiting the Theater next door. A gem of a place not to be missed. The VCBC will not disappoint.
Great craft bar in Halifax. Excellent range of drinks and a delicious selection of pork pies! Service is always friendly and the bar has a fantastic atmosphere, and has a real quirky feeling, very different to lots of other bars in town. Highly recommend
Popped in for a drink before the Chris Hoy talk at the theatre. Great place with excellent beer choice. Plenty of seating and just round the corner from the theatre
One of my favourites in Halifax. Plenty of choice but can be a bit on the pricey side, also some Belgians in the fridge but couldn't see a price list anywhere. Decor is like an old library with plenty of nooks to hide away in, my favourite spot is up the stairs in a comfy armchair as I usually don't time it right to get one of the good tables downstairs.
Thoughtful choices of beer and cider and well-arranged environment. My friend and I found this place when we had a little break from an academic conference trip and were charmed by the Mango cider recommended by the friendly staff. A must visit when coming to Halifax.
