This was a fantastic pub to visit, with live entertainment making the atmosphere! Karaoke is fun and interactive with anyone allowed to get up, counter is well-presented too. Me and my friend enjoy Sourz shots on a deal, appreciating the style of the rich architecture too!
Nothing wrong with the place per se it just wasn't for me. Didn't eat here. Got my gin and tonic in a plastic cup not a gin glass and there wasn't a slice of lemon either. Lots of drunk people. Beer garden. Security. Staff were friendly enough. Just not my kind of place, felt uncomfortable. Wouldn't go back. If you like rough and ready you'll love it here 😉
Security where horrible! Discrimination because I have alopecia! Never again, left straight away, was with 15 people for a friend's birthday, won't be coming back thanks
Went on a Saturday afternoon to watch the football with the family. It’s obviously popular but full of very drunk and rowdy people/lots of swearing. Can’t necessarily blame the pub for its clientele but not the place for a few nice beers and a bit of sport of an afternoon, either with friends or family. It’s not like I’m a total snob - the Wetherspoons (Barum Top) up the road is cheap and a very acceptable place to have a drink.
Had a wonderful meal here recently. Food was fabulous and the staff were great and very helpful with my gluten free needs. Thank you, we will definitely be back
