Visited this coffee shop yesterday and I walked out feeling very angry and disappointed. Firstly the service i was greeted with when ordering was very poor, very rude staff member who was abrupt with me!! When me and my mums food arrived, I wasnt best pleased with my order, the Jacket Potato with beans and cheese with the beans all mushy like they were microwaved and too much cheese, the skin of the jacket was very burnt and made it hard. My mums sandwich was poor too as it was overly buttered which completely ruined it. The price of the food was very expensive for what you got and drinks pricey as well but I would of minded paying a bit more if it was actually nice food and if there were better customer service but sadly it was dreadful! Won't be going back here again!! Shocking.
This is a small place with in and out side seating and in summer when the sun is out you can sit out side around 10 in the morning and still be there in the evening and you will get sun on your face all day and pleasant surroundings people going up and down the cobblestone walkways, also the young lady’s who are the waitresses are very pleasant and sweet the make you welcome and mostly remember what your orders are which helps, for me it’s always a pleasure to come down have a walk In town and come in here to sit in or out depending on weather to relax before making my way back home. I have been to many cafes in Halifax and surrounding areas and have to admit this has to be my most favorite taking in to consideration everything, and taking nothing away from the hard working young lady’s mainly in most of these but i feel for me this probably joint first with one other over all,
Came here for a break from shopping. Coffee and the chocolate shake were nice, the brownie was too. The staff are polite and brought our drinks outside. The sun was out, so we sat outside. Prices are reasonable for a town centre, parking is an issue due to the location. All in all a nice little coffee shop :)
Nice coffee and bbq chicken panini for our lunch. Very busy, plenty of tables and chairs outdoors.
All I wanted was a soup to go . If you have ever requested this , from anywhere . It's not also available. Even rarely. There was tomato and chilli which I have. With brown bread and plenty of butter. Just how i like it . Or chicken and sweet corn . Again another top soup I would choose. Then the sweet slice . Mint cream . I had to get it. And the display then just shone. Everything looking more delicious then the next . I ended up choose a honey comb , road or something and a chocolate covered flap jack . And of course coffee to go
