I went with a group of friends and we all had a wonderful time! Everything was explained to us before we started and we sat comfortably round a large table which made it easy to chat whilst we painted. The food and drinks available were top notch and reasonably priced. I've just been to pick up our finished items (10 days after our visit) and they've all come out really well. We will definitely be returning soon.
UPDATE: finally got them back! They look good and very happy with the final product! ORIGINAL POST: Visited the cafe over a month ago and am still waiting for my items to be ready. We were told 2/3 weeks when we paid, but it’s now been over 4! Every time I send a message querying it, they said ‘Oh we think it’s going in the kiln tomorrow’, ‘I’ll check for you’, ‘You should have had a text’. Don’t think I’ll be visiting again. Despite their lack of efficiency, our time at the pottery cafe was nice! We ordered some chips which were tasty and there was a good selection of items to paint! It was also fairly quiet and calm, apart from the kids screaming in the play area! Have attached images so staff can see what we’re still waiting for…. Will update this post when I eventually get them back.
Had a lovely peaceful afternoon painting pots at the Pottery Cafe in Halifax. Really well set up with everything clearly explained, relaxing atmosphere and great fun to choose your own pots and designs. I love that all you pay is the cost of the pot - (ranging from around £10-£20 depending on size). The firing, glaze, paints and instructions are all included. Had a nice coffee too while we painted. You can collect your pot fully glazed and fired in a couple of weeks - really looking forward to seeing how they’ve come out! Would definitely go again.
We was a group of 8, visited on a Sunday lunch time. Welcome at the desk and shown to the pottery studio which is at the back of the play gym. There are loads of pot models, cups, plates and Christmas items ready to be painted . Staff explained how to wash and information on the paints. Staff was very helpful, taking orders for drinks and snacks so you don't have to leave your pottery painting. Can not wait to pick our items up I would recommend and will be visiting again.
Absolutely fantastic! I am so glad I have found this place! The staff were incredibly knowledgable, attentive and patient, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing what to paint and the atmosphere was so calming and enjoyable. I can’t wait to return! Thank you for a great visit
