Went for the first time today and will definitely go again next time we come to Halifax. The lamb curry was the best with fresh (optional) coriander and salad. The box was full to the brim 😃.Staff were helpful and made sure to give you all the options you could want. Highly recommend coming. If you dont like it there's a mcdonalds down the road to suit your bland palette. Wish I got some more for my dinner at work
We have been to Home Cuisines in the Halifax Borough Market quite a few times now and highly recommend Farina's food. It is quite delicious and she is so friendly and helpful, her onion bahji's are beautiful, so light you could eat a plateful of them 😋 Great place to pick up a curry for your evening meal or just drop by for lunch on the go. Well worth a visit 👍
Amazing! Unit 42, circled in green on the map. Not only does the food smell fantastic, but the snack pieces (pakora, samosa, etc) are more often than not cooked right there whilst you wait. Had a lovely chat with the owner, who mentioned they are the only Pakistani/Indian cuisine in the Borough Market. Affordable prices, delicate spices, and all served with amazing customer service. We had the pakora and vegetable samosa - my only regret is that I didn’t bring home extra. We can’t wait to go back next week to try the curries - definitely recommend going out of your way to try something from Farina’s!🥰 *Edited to add*: We visited again this weekend to try the curry! We had chicken tikka masala with brown rice, and it was insanely good. The meat was juicy and the curry was so flavourful. Portions are also very generous!
My partner and I asked Farina for a meal for x5 people to take out - chicken madras, onion bhajis, veg samosas, chick pea side, mushroom rice, nan breads, salad and her most delicious raita. Wow what a feast - was beyond fantastic and every one of us loved it. Lots of it too and very reasonably priced. Plus Farina is so lovely and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious! Home-style, flavoursome food at unbeatable prices! We especially recommend the samosa sandwich at £3.50. Marone! Farina is a lovely lady and the other staff we've encountered are also very friendly. Farina will go far. Hats off!
