My 9 year old son collects coins and wanted to change some money for the first time. This was his first experience of using the Halifax bank. We walked in and received a warm welcome and was directed to the cashier desk. Ahmed came to serve us and was so friendly and helpful. My son was unsure what to expect but Ahmed provided a first class service that made us feel welcome and comfortable. Well done Ahmed on providing great service with a smile, it has created a lasting memory for me and my son. Thank you.
Horrible branch, horrible staff. Constantly nag you to stop coming in, and go online. Hope they all lose their jobs. Closed 3 nearby branches, and told everyone to come here. Then have one staff member on the counter. All the money they saved, and they still won't pay staff. It's a ploy to make you queue half an hour - and again drive you online. Then they can say nobody uses the branch - and close it
Halifax Bank very slow and unprofessional Que register and sit around waiting to be called and that's for counter services. Why did they shut down their main branch in town which was much bigger than the one at bottom of Halifax.
Let's be honest: the wait times at this Halifax branch are ridiculous. You have to wait 10 minutes just to join the "real" queue, which then takes another 20 minutes or more. It's a joke! With parking limited to just one hour, it's a real headache trying to get anything done here. You might end up with a parking ticket before you even reach the counter! Other banks like NatWest and Virgin are doing a much better job. They've got their act together, while Halifax seems to be drowning in customers. Maybe it's time for Halifax to wake up and smell the coffee. They need to step up their game and find ways to handle all these people more efficiently. After all, we're customers, not marathon runners training for a "waiting" event! Come on, Halifax – it's time to pick up the pace. Your customers' time is valuable too, you know!
Having to provide your name at the desk after queueing, then finding a seat just to wait for ages for name to be called is disgusting and degrading. Rang to a number for complaints to be told if more people complained something may be done. It was less stressful queueing for a cashier than this terrible rigmarole. Time the Halifax listened to us who bank with them.
