Tranquil hair and beauty day spa Halifax

As a girl who loves getting their hair done and was completely loyal to a salon with their favourite hair dresser, I cannot believe I’m writing this nor can I believe I’ve had such an experience. I’ve been going here for sooo long and decided to go here to get my hair done 5 days before my wedding. Sadly my hairstylist had left and I was left with Ella. I showed pictures of an ashy brown balyages I was hoping she’d recreate and Ella had promised that she can do something like this. Throughout the process it wasn’t looking good but she had promised to ‘trust the process’ and so I did. (To add, no skin or patch test was done prior to this). This was my first time ever bleaching my hair. She was so excited that my dark hair had lifted so light. We later washed it off and I was completely blonde with black roots. Again, she promised that she’ll be putting a toner on. Fast forward… she put the toner on and the blonde lifted to a ginger!! I said to Ella ‘it’s so light’ she said, ‘you’re just blonde shock it looks lovely’, I said ‘would it be possible to add some darkness to it like the reference pictures’, Ella said ‘I don’t have time, maybe after the wedding now’. She kept on saying to me it looks so good and that everyone will think ‘new bride new me’. When it was nothing I wanted! As a professional I would’ve appreciated the honestly instead of turning my dark black hair to a blonde/ ginger colour, especially before my big day! The next day I woke up completely upset and I had Ella’s number so I messaged her politely. (Screenshots below) she said she won’t be replying to me on text and to call the shop… I then called the shop and the receptionist said she was busy and then she’d call. Then Ella had the audacity to text me!? She later called me explaining that she can fix it but only available on Friday. I said that my first wedding event is on Thursday she said ‘hunni I don’t have time sorry’. However, these are your mistakes Ella, how could you leave a customer upset, and before one of their biggest days of their lives. That same day I took the day off work to go to Marios, they were shocked at Ella’s art work and said that she had just ‘bleached bathed’ my hair without even fixing the roots. They said they could get me in on the day after my patch test but can’t put low lights in my hair as she’s bleached my hair that much. Thankfully Marios had fixed it and it looks so much better!! Im no longer blonde, and they were really accommodating to my request and didn’t over promise. The £155 and the 6 hours spent I spent to bleach my hair at Tranquil beauty spa is something I don’t wish upon anyone. My fiancé tried contacting the shop and Ella again turned him down reporting that there’s no chance of giving the money back, he asked if we could have their complaints website and she said ‘you can find it on the internet’. Cannot believe the level of service here. As Ella could not resolve the situation, it has only left me to publish this review.

Best place youll get your hair and beauty needs. Friendly, great at what they do. Have lots of experience and help with any anxieties you may have. Alwaya go here for my hair and brows waxed and tinted they never disappoint. Originally in Huddersfield but now in Halifax they are worth the travel. You get lovely coffee s or tea complemented by a choccy biscoff biccy. Also wheelchair friendly.

I've been looking for a new hairdresser for a while, and I've tried a few but none have really done me justice. I decided ut was time to try a new one so me and my daughyer booked in. I saw Natalie and my daughter saw Charlie, my Daughter is Autistic but they where extremely good with her and myself, they where friendly and my hair has had the best cut it's had in years! Super happy guys thank you! I've booked in with the beautician too 🙌

They not only provided outstanding service and kindness during my visit, but they also went the extra mile to help a young girl who has suffered trauma.
