Avoid Halifax Property Rentals Ltd – Shocking Landlord Experience My brother lived at 61a Stainland Road under landlord Anthony Bija (Tony) for 10 months. The flat was damp, cold, and had no hot water or working heating for 5 months — yet full rent of £606/month was demanded. When my brother was forced to move out by a court order, Tony kept £606 rent (paid on his move-out day), his £550 deposit (never protected), and £85 of electricity credit — a total of £1,221. We tried contacting Tony, his maintenance manager Cliff, and lettings contact Samantha Byrne — all ignored our emails, texts, and calls. We’ve had to take him to Small Claims Court just to recover money that was unfairly taken. Based on many other bad reviews, this landlord has a pattern of ignoring tenants and refusing to fix issues. Absolutely NOT recommended. One of the worst rental experiences ever.
Do not even deserve one star he is a rude man and blocks you when you ask for your bond back doesn't even deserve one start blamed me and my partner for problems with leaks from the roof in the house when i would know how that is possible my step daughters room ended up leaking luckily we got out of there and now in a nice house with a very nice landlord , HE DOES NOT PUT YOUR BOND I TO A BOND SCHEME EITHER. Avoid this company at all costs
Disgusting excuse of a landlord. Doesn't fix anything in his properties leaving them in awful state whilst trying to double rent overnight and take yet another bond but instead of discussing this with tenants he let's himself in while tenants are at work and steals belongings, sends threats via text to try and intimidate. Avoid at all costs
The director of this company Tony Bija. Ran an unlicenced H.M.O for 2 yrs .The property 30 prescott st,/ Halifax .was badly maintained and illegal. Avoid/Avoid.
The rooms are terrible, you can't live there, there are no repairs and there won't be any.
