Whitegates Halifax Lettings & Estate Agents

Was told I had a viewing booked at half 3. Travelled an hour and got there before half 3. Waited half an hour and kept getting told the estate agent was stuck in traffic even though the whitegates office is 7 minutes down the road. In the end the estate agent never turned up. Time wasters, awful service and liars.

Not good at all I have been viewing a property and i interested they told me to wait they will let me know within 48 hours now it’s about a week I talked to them on the phone and emailed them 2-3 times no response yet it’s just wasting my time

Avoid at all costs, first let us move into a property that stunk of cat piss. Thankfully the landlord sorted that straight away. Didn't even realise our lease was up. Had to chase them for our deposit back and didn't nothing to fix the mould problem that got progressively worse over time after reporting In October last year. Then proceed to say its your fault because you didn't tell them they extent. You would think a company that deals in property understands how mould works.

Honestly, not a fan. Good thing is they don't take a holding deposit. Bad thing is that they never give you a definitive answer on when something will be done. I've been waiting on a refund on my deposit and rent that they said would be processed on Friday and apparently it moved to today but now it can't be today because one of them isn't in. I generally don't get frustrated if I have a definitive answer from the start.

Very good service. Whitegates found me a tenant within 2 days. They sorted all the references and did the necessary checks for me. The rent is always paid on time. Emma in the lettings office is extremely helpful and friendly.
