Arrived on Thursday morning for induction for labour and god bless them they did a fantastic job delivering our baby girl under challenging circumstances. However the after process is fast becoming a joke. Especially today. We had a walk around from a doctor at 9am this morning who said we just needed babies final assement and a healthy blood pressure test from mum. Now at 9:55pm we are still in exactly the same position waiting for exactly the same 2 things to be done. Bordering on shambolic at this point.

Crazy wait times for nothing! Was referred by 111... arrived at 9:30am, A&E was empty as was the Children's ED. Triage was super quick, but it took 3 hours for a practitioner to see her. All clear to go by now but wanting to speaks to paeds. Suddenly we were told we were going to a children's ward, we were put in a waiting room with a mouldy bin. It was again empty, we didn't get seen again for ages. Obs were very slow, eventually saw another practitioner who said she wanted to keep her for another hour and that a nurse was doing her inhaler again, which was supposed to be every 4 hours. I waited until 5 hours and no-one had come. I asked the nurses again, the practitioner said we could go but she needed obs again before releasing, obs then took another 30 mins. Then we waited a couple of more hours in this stupid waiting room for a doctor to simply say give her the inhaler every 4 hours which I was already told from the beginning in ED! Shambles! Spending over 12 hours in an emergency department and all she was offered was a cheese sandwich. Communication is horrendous between staff and with the parents, being moved from pillar to post not being told what is going on!

Husband had successful hip replacements, he was well cared for on the ward both pre and post surgery, although patient turnaround is quick. Parking can be difficult even with a Blue Badge and I didn't always get a spot within the hospital grounds.

Wonderful staff in ward 3B. Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Dr. Gregory, who went above and beyond to make sure my baby was okay. I’ve spent 7 nights here since the 31st of October, and the care and support we received have been outstanding. Thank you so much to all the nurses for your kindness and dedication.

I went for an x-ray on my foot after being referred by my GP. After being kept waiting a considerable amount of time, I was dealt with by a young girl who had no warmth or people skills. On entering the x-ray room, it became clear that she was a trainee as she couldn't operate the equipment confidently, which is fine, but no one introduced themselves to me or explained that she was training. Her trainer spoke about me to her without speaking to me directly at all during the whole appointment. I just left feeling that I wasn't treated like a human being, more like an object. A little more warmth and personality is needed here to make patients feel more at ease.
